On 20th September 2007, I took an x-ray to the Russian Provincial Hospital in Kisumu, which revealed the beginning of cancer in the large intestines. I was treated to a drug that was very costly, for about a month. However, no sooner had the drug ended than the pain resumed.While in Nairobi, a friend called and urged me to attend a retreat that would be given by Rev. Fr. Bill at the Vincentian prayer house from the 24th to 29th March 2008. I reported on the 25th. No sooner did I enter the retreat hall, than I started experiencing pains all over my body, particularly in the stomach, right shoulder and entire arm. During the retreat, the pains could come and go. But now I feel a complete relief from the cancer in the stomach. I am healed!! I am very grateful to God and to the Vincentian Fathers and community; Fr. Anthony and Fr. Joshy and Br. Joseph for their tireless prayers for us. I also thank my lifelong friend and former school mate, Anastasia, who insisted that I attend the retreat.
